Sonnet 71

Sonnet 71 is one of 154 sonnets written by the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare. It's a member of the Fair Youth sequence, in which the poet expresses his love towards a young man.
==Introduction==
Shakespeare's collection of 154 sonnets, also known as "The Lover's Quarrel" was published in London in the late 16th century. The sonnets are written as if a personal address from one man to his lovers and it is controversial over whether the set is autobiographical of Shakespeare's own life. The first 126 sonnets are addressed to a young man and the last 28 refer to a dark lady. Sonnet 71 specifically focuses on the speaker's aging and impending death in relation to his young lover.〔Wait, R. J. C. "Introduction." The Background to Shakespeare's Sonnets.
